Bowmanville, Ontario - Canada’s biggest sports car race of the year has been cancelled due to COVID-19. Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (CTMP) announced today that the popular and long-standing Mobil 1 SportsCar Grand Prix weekend of the IMSA WeatherTech Championship has been cancelled due to the current Coronavirus pandemic.

“CTMP continues to closely monitor all developments in terms of COVID-19, and it has become clear that hosting the Mobil 1 SportsCar Grand Prix will not be possible for 2020,” said President & General Manager Myles Brandt.

“We are disappointed of course, but we remain focused on a safe environment for our staff, fans, and competitors and that means doing our part to prevent spread of this disease.”
